Jonny Vinal is a Vermont-based songwriter and performer blending acoustic folk, slide banjo, and rhythmic live elements into dynamic, story-driven sets. Rooted in folk and Americana but leaning into a rougher edge — somewhere between alternative folk, folk-punk spirit, and renegade bluegrass — his music moves easily between groove-heavy stomp energy, lyric-forward listening moments, and raw, unplugged originals.

Equally at home in intimate listening rooms, lively breweries, and small theaters, Jonny tailors each set to the space — building nights that invite dancing, listening, and laughing.

A longtime independent musician with deep roots in New England and the Caribbean, Jonny’s songs carry warmth, humor, and a wandering spirit shaped by years of playing small rooms, island bars, and community stages. His new single “No Vacancy” arrives April 3.
